- We recommend divers bring their own gear with them if possible. If this isn't possible, we do have gear to rent which is sanitized between each use.

CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS - My husband and I have done a lot of diving during cruises and almost always book outside the cruise company to better support local dive shops and get a more personalized experience. Grant Turk Diving was truly one of the absolute BEST experiences we've had diving on a cruise. We took a shared taxi to the dive shop ($5 per person, plus tip) and it was super easy to find a taxi outside the port. It's a very short drive (maybe 5 minutes) to the dive shop. We filled out our paperwork and we wasted no time getting to the dive boat. There were four of us diving (me, my husband, and two other divers we met on the cruise and invited along) and we simply walked across the street to the beach and climbed into the small boat, where our tanks and weights waited for us. Our first dive site was Mother Nature and it was one of the best dives I've had in the Caribbean. It was an impressive wall dive and we encountered a black tip reef shark, a few barracuda, a turtle, a sting ray, and even a frog fish, plus all the other regular underwater creatures. We had a 45 minute surface interval and then went to the site English Point and had another lovely dive. No super rare sitings other than a ray, but another great wall dive. But the best part? Our divemaster took us, in the boat, back to the beach near the ship. It was great! Then we just walked down the beach to get in the port and back on the boat. Jamal was our divemaster and he was absolutely wonderful. Fast, knowledgable, fun, and was able to spear several lion fish! I cannot say enough good things about this dive outfit! We HIGHLY recommend then, even if you're just visiting for the day on a cruise! We will be back to dive with them again!
Great diving and great people

We dove with grand Turk Divers, during a one day cruise ship visit. Communication before our arrival was easy, and detailed, so we knew exactly how to get to the shop from the cruise port. If you are expecting a big fancy, dive operation, you will be disappointed. This is like diving with family. the two of us were the only divers on the boat, and our divemaster, Jamall, was excellent. The diving itself was fantastic, with lots of very healthy, coral, and she, wife, and several sharks and rays. The highlight was a frog fish.

Love these guys. Our second time diving with Jamal and Smitty and they did not disappoint! We dove every day, I can honestly say I’m a better diver because of them. We saw so many turtles, lots of sharks, lion fish and a sea horse! I’ll be counting the days until we get back, until next time!

Chris, Smitty and Jamal (the Grand Turk Diving Company) make a great team to dive with and know the Island intimately. We hired them for a full week of SCUBA diving and snorleling for 4 families (14 people in all), Some of our group were seasoned divers, while othere had just gotten their scuba certifications and my 14 year old daughter was doing her certificatin dives. Smitty fitted everyone wih gear and provided a refresher training and an easy dive on the first day. Then every day afterwards, he and Jamal took us out in the two 24-foot boats to some beautiful dives sites all along he western coat of the Island. On most dives we saw reef sharks, turtles, seahorses and other little reef creatures that he and Jaml pointed out. , On the last day, they were able to take us snorkeling at Gibbs (?) Key where we swam with some huge stingrays and relaxed on the beach.
During the entire trip, Smitty and Jamal were very leasant nad heped out with all aspects of the trip. They were conversational, gave divign tips along the way, helped the newer divers with bouyancy control, and knew when to call a dive becasue of weather. Also, they have a bounty of personal stories to tell if you have the time.
When we go back to Grand Turk, we'll most definitly book with GT Diving again.

Great time with GT Diving

Excellent time with GT. We had a range of experience with our 5-person group, and the dive master was great with us all. Smitty even gave us a few tips on how to get the most out of our diving experience, which I appreciated. I have been diving all over the Caribbean and this shop was one of my favourites to work with, not too rigid while still being safety conscious.
The ride to the dive sites is quite short which is great, and we visited a good variety of sites.
